Wheels of Light A Chakra Balancing Workshop With Octavia Nasr (2 CEUs for Yoga Alliance RYT) 90 minutes –– Investment: $49

June 4 @ 3:30 am - 5:00 pm

$49

Happiness is not something ready-made. It comes from your own actions.

~ Dalai Lama

DESCRIPTION

Chakra is a Sanskrit word that means wheels or circles. Connected to seven different energy levels in the human body, these Chakras function as regulators of energy into and out of the body. Each Chakra represents an element and affects different aspects of our

being, mind, and spirit. It is then essential to have a balanced Chakra or energy system to function at our highest level of efficiency and effectiveness in the world.

This workshop will focus on the seven main Chakras, their names, locations, and functions. We will explore the interconnectedness between our Chakras and our normal daily activities. We will examine the effects a balanced energy system can have on our mood, sleep, anxieties, and enjoyment. Participants will get the chance to experience the power of each Chakra by repeating its Primary Sound also known as the Beej Mantra. We will practice yoga poses that aid in balancing the Chakras and close the workshop with a Chakra Balancing Guided Meditation and deep rest.

This workshop is perfect for anyone who is interested in discovering the world of Chakras or those who are looking to deepen their knowledge and understanding of Chakras, their function, and ways to balance them. Yoga teachers interested in adding a unique flavor to their classes by incorporating Chakra Balancing techniques and Vedic Chanting will also benefit from this workshop and gain 2 Yoga Alliance Continued Education Units..

Participants are encouraged to wear loose, comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat with them only. Everything else will be provided at the studio. When our Chakras are balanced, we are more in control of our life. Learning about the Chakras and ways to balance them will put you in control of situations instead of being controlled by events, situations, and/or people in your life.

Everything is interconnected. Gratitude improves sleep. Sleep reduces pain. Reduced pain improves your mood. Improved mood reduces anxiety, which improves focus and planning. Focus and planning help with decision-making. Decision-making further reduces anxiety and improves enjoyment. Enjoyment gives you more to be grateful for, which keeps that loop of the upward spiral going. Enjoyment makes it more likely you’ll exercise and be social, which, in turn, makes you happier.
